HAVS monitoring software that tracks each worker, not just each tool
Log tool use in a few taps. G8 ONE works out each person's daily hand-arm vibration points and A(8) using HSE's published method, warns before the action or limit value, and keeps a weekly record for each worker.
Exposure worked out as you go
Pick the worker and the tool, enter the trigger time, and G8 ONE adds the points to that person's day. Points use HSE's formula: 2 × vibration magnitude² × hours. 100 points a day is the exposure action value (EAV) and 400 points is the exposure limit value (ELV).
- Add your own tools with their in-use vibration magnitude
- Daily points, A(8) in m/s² and a status for each day
- A warning before anyone reaches the action or limit value
- Noise exposure and a phone decibel meter alongside

A record for each person
Every worker has their own vibration page: the week day by day with uses, points, A(8) and status, every entry with the tool, time, magnitude and who logged it, and the last 8 weeks with the highest day and the number of days at or over 100 points.
Run a report for any date range, person and site, and download it as a PDF or CSV for health surveillance records or a client audit.
| What you see | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Daily points and A(8) | Compare each day with the EAV (100 points, 2.5 m/s² A(8)) and ELV (400 points, 5 m/s² A(8)). |
| Days at or over 100 points | Spot who is regularly above the action value and needs health surveillance and a change of method. |
| Entry by entry | Each entry shows the tool, minutes and magnitude, so you can check the data behind the total. |
| Reports | PDF or CSV for a person, site and date range. |
Monitoring isn't the same as control
HSE is clear that working out exposure is only part of the job: you still need to reduce vibration risk as far as reasonably practicable, choose lower-vibration tools and methods, and provide health surveillance where needed. G8 ONE gives you the numbers and the record. Your RAMS and toolbox talks carry the controls.
Questions
How are HAVS points calculated?
With HSE's exposure points method: points = 2 × a² × t, where a is the vibration magnitude in m/s² and t is the trigger time in hours. Points from different tools add up over the day.
Can I add my own tools?
Yes. Add a tool with its in-use vibration magnitude and it appears for every worker.
Is it a wearable or sensor system?
No. It works from the vibration values and trigger times you log. It doesn't measure vibration itself.
Can I export the records?
Yes, as a PDF or CSV for any person, site and date range.
