What's in the PDF
A branded cover with the job, company, client and site, the scope of works, a colour-coded risk assessment (each hazard with who might be harmed, the controls, and the risk rating before and after controls), a 5×5 risk matrix, a numbered method statement, PPE and permits, emergency and first aid arrangements, the UK legislation and guidance that apply, and a sign-off sheet with the signatures you drew on screen.
Hazards, controls and steps come from a subset of the task library inside G8 ONE, covering 12 UK trades including fire doors, fire alarms, electrical, M&E, fit-out and sprinklers. They are rules-based suggestions, not AI, and they are a starting point: you know the site, and a competent person must check the RAMS fits the job before it is issued.
What this free template doesn't do
- It saves your draft only on this device, in your browser. Clear your browser data or switch device and it's gone.
- It can't check your team's cards against the job dates, look up the nearest A&E or send the RAMS to the client for sign-off by link.

Is this RAMS template really free?
Yes. There's no sign-up, no email and no watermark beyond a small footer line. The PDF is made in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
Can I edit the RAMS after downloading?
Your draft saves automatically in this browser on this device, so you can come back, change the hazards, controls, ratings or steps, and download it again. To keep it with the job, share it for sign-off and reuse it as a template, use G8 ONE.
Is it accepted by main contractors?
A RAMS is accepted when it is specific to the site and the work, and checked by a competent person. The template gives you the structure most principal contractors expect; the content must match your job.
Does it cover fire safety trades?
Yes. Fire doors, fire stopping, fire alarms and sprinklers are in the trade list, with hazards such as fire alarm isolation and breached compartmentation.
